Meissen porcelain is a very fine porcelain which was the first true hard paste porcelain ever created in Europe. This porcelain has always had a large impact on arts and porcelain because it encouraged people to create new dishes with special design. Best of all it also inspired people to open special museums dedicated to this porcelain only. This porcelain is so special because the arts created from this material have special patterns, lining and other beautiful features.

Nevertheless this porcelain is roughly expensive because it is old and qualitative. If you search an online auction selling this porcelain you will notice that the prices you will be dealing with will have countless zeroes, because this is a result of their origin and antiquity. Let's take a simple example, a very beautiful clock made from Meissen porcelain that belongs to the period of 1774 to 1815 has an unimaginable price of eighteen thousand dollars which of course can't be affordable by most of us. A figurine showing a 22 inches capricorn belonging to the 20th century has an unrealistic price of fifteen thousand dollars.

A figurine of a white to brown horse costs twelve thousand dollars and it is only 6.5 x 4 inches. That's pretty high for a small decoration, don't you think so too?! In addition a well painted small lion with a size of only 8.5 x 3 inches and 5.5 inches tall costs fourteen thousand dollars. Another clock costs thirteen thousand five hundred dollars, and in addition the clock is not moving so it has to be taken to an expert. As you can see from these examples Meissen porcelain products that are minor can be very pricey but after all it is always worth it to pay a fortune for these products because they are very special!
