Indians are really crazy about Bollywood (Indian version of Hollywood). Sometimes the loss of a pet dog of a filmstar becomes a national issue. The filmstars are worshipped as Gods, and even temples are built in their names, and at times the temple gets demolished, if an actor welcomes pre-marital sex which is a taboo in traditional India. People pray hard for their heartthrobs to do well in movies, even forgetting their own sorrows in life. Especially, in southern regions of India, most of the politicans and ministers are film personalities who don't even know what is politics!!! Most of the new-born babies are named after the current favorite filmstars of the parents.
Some of the teenagers even write letters to their heartthrobs, in their own blood with lots of pain and of course, love. Even in educational institutions, some of the famous actors who really wouldn't have gone to schools, are invited as guests for any program, just for keeping the audience awake and happy on their chairs!!. The eligible bachelors aks their mothers to find brides who have the features of beautiful and glamorous actresses, even if the guys don't deserve a second look!!!. As our Indian movies are known throughout the world, more for their dream songs than the script, every indian youngster wants to lead a life fully of fantasy and adventure as a hero of a Hindi movie, which is quite impossible in our still-developing India. But then.. Life has to go on and Bollywood is here to stay!!.
